Kayaks Anyone!

An Innovated Kayak Rack

We were at our local Mercedes-Benz Dealer picking up a set of All Weather Floor Mats, when

Mercedes Benz All Weather Floor Mats

we saw a Winnebago View, which was in for service!  Mounted on the rear were two Seward Kayaks!  The mounting system was ingenious and this is a very interesting concept!

We have two Cobra Explorer Kayaks which would be nice if we could bring them  along on our Unity.  But unfortunately our Kayaks are 11'2" in length while the Seward Kayaks are 10'2".

In addition the View has a height of 11'3" while the Unity is 10'6"; this means our Kayaks would be "sticking up" above the highest point of our Unity by almost two feet.  Unfortunately, this additional height would create concerns from wind resistance and vehicle clearance.

Too bad, as this set-up is a very ingenious!  Hmm, maybe we should trade in our Kayaks for shorter ones?

Almost Here!

Just Waiting!

Our U24MB was scheduled to depart the Winkler LTV Factory on Friday the 9th of May, 2014!  We have been told the unit will be trucked from Manitoba to Langley, British Columbia and the travel time is estimated at 4 days.

Craig called Leisure Travel Vans to confirm the delivery date and spoke with "Dean"!  He confirmed that our Unity was being loaded on the truck this Friday the 9th May and would be leaving on Mother's Day, Sunday the 11th of May.  Estimated delivery to Langley is Tuesday the 13th.

TravelandRV, our dealer in Langley, would like to have 5 days to processing the arrival to complete the PDI, paperwork, etc.

We will have a 5 hour drive of approx. 400kms (250 miles) from our home to the dealership; so at this point in time our pick up date is not yet known!  Our friends Martin & Janice will be giving us a ride to Langley so we can drive the Unity home!

Unfortunately that will not be until Friday the 30th May!  Still waiting....

LTV Fever!

Appears To Be Contagious!

While researching Leisure Travel Vans we shared our findings along the way with friends! Surprisingly, what happened next is that two of our close friends have made the plunge and purchased their own Unitys'.....

These are our good friends Richard & Gwen who just bought a 2014 Unity 24 Twin Bed!

You might be curious as to the "Graphic" on the rear of Richard & Gwen's Unity.  Well, boats are given names and those names are displayed on the stern, along with the home port from where you hail from!  We all have boating backgrounds, so maybe that is why there is a tendency to give a name to our LTVs!

Duckin' Out from Whidbey Island, Wa.

Makes Us Smile When We See This!

Amazing how infectious these "little" motor homes can be!  Once you see the quality and have been bitten by the LTV Bug, they are simply hard to resist!!!

Why Choose A Leisure Travel Vans: Unity 24 Murphy Bed!

Simply Put... We Loved It!

Our goal for retirement had been to RV, when we discovered our love for boating the land cruising was put on hold. We cruised the coastal waters of Washington State and British Columbia. After selling our our boat, in two years, we put on over 120,000kms on our car traveling Canada, the Northern U.S.A from Coast to Coast.  It was decided a motor home would be a nice compromise for our traveling and a lot more convenient than travelling by car.

Looking for the right motor home was like looking for the next boat; two foot-itis!  We kept going up in size!  We were contemplating Class A's up to 37' and had test drove a number of brands.....

Then we were introduced to Triple E Leisure Travel Vans (LTV) through searching the internet.  We, like most LTV prospective owners, saw "The Dean Videos" at:

Luckily we were only 30 minutes from a LTV Dealership and were able to view, test drive and crawl all over a LTV U24MB.  We loved it: quality, workmanship, style, design, layout, and all on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Chassis that will take you down the highway getting 18 to 22 mpg (Canadian)!

We found the handling, maneuvering and drive-ability outstanding; the fuel economy from the Mercedes Sprinter was a huge bonus to an already outstanding product!

In January, 2014, we called 5 LTV Dealerships in Canada searching for the right dealer.  We ordered our Unity from Traveland RV and had an excellent sales representative - Dan Kramarik!  In our opinion, Dan was a very knowledgeable sales representative, and we found him very easy to deal with.  Another huge benefit was their TravelandRV's competitive pricing and willingness to work with our specific needs and requirements.

LTV has a great website with a build your own Class B+ Motor Home!

The image to the right outlines how we have ordered our LTV!  Our 2014 will be coming off the production line at the tail end of the production year.  June 2014 starts the 2015 production line; Triple E's 50th Anniversary Editions will be built on the 2015 Mercedes Benz 3500 Sprinter chassis.

There are some improvements & upgrades to the 2015 LTV Unity!  A few of these we would enjoy having on our Unity, but we would be waiting and as you know there is always something newer coming along! Plus we wanted on the road now!

Another nice touch is that Triple E ships their Leisure Travel Vans on a flatbed transport truck.  When your new motor home arrives it has as close to zero miles/kms on the odometer!
