Since arriving home three days ago, we have been very busy with getting the LTV ready and set to go! Unfortunately it is taking longer than expected as Craig tires out after approx. 90 minutes and then has to rest...
On our way home from picking up our Unity, we had the opportunity to drive through the government weigh scale on Friday night. The scale was closed but the weights are displayed; so we were able to weight our Unity so we may know how much to pack. After doing the calculations, in theory it looks like we can carry up to 735lbs and still be legal.
Take a look in the pages section "LTV Kozad Additional: LTV Kozad Specifications" to the right, if you are interested this will detail these numbers.
Before we pack there are a few projects to complete, in addition to the required shopping:
Craig Caught By Jan's Cell Phone! |
Fantastic Fan Covers |
Unity 24MB Roof Looking Aft |
Looking Forward |
Project Done... Sandals Optional! |
Fantastic Vent In Place |
Multy-Tile For Storage Compartments |
All Exterior Compartments Installed! |
Non Slip Rubber Matting For All Interior Storage Areas |
Lots of shopping to do, bedding, dishes and a few other odds and ends as we are able to use a lot of stuff from MV Kozad.
We purchased a nice Webber Q1200 BBQ and can you believe it; the thing does not fit into any of the outside compartments.
We did find out though that if the BBQ might just fit in the starboard tall storage compartment if it had a shelf to sit on! If we just had shelf approx. 12" above the compartment floor, then all would be fine (well with the exception of removing the temperature control knob to make it fit)!
So a call was placed to Doug at Leisure Travel Vans Parts Department; and voila... part number B47482 at a cost of $63.69, supports and screws $10.00 plus UPS shipping and we will have one here in 7 to 10 days!
Service Supreme from LTV!
