Tofino
After spending two week in Victoria visiting family and friends it was some time for alone time! The best place to relax, in our opinion, is visiting the West Coast of Vancouver Island and in particular ~ Tofino!
We stayed at Crystal Cove Resort and absolutely loved it! The sites are private with full hook-ups; free showers, free firewood and free Starbucks Coffee from 8:30am to 1:30pm!
Crystal Cove sits on the south end of McKenzie Beach and the campsites are only a 3 minute walk to the sand beach!

Ucluelet's Wild Pacific Trail
It was a little wet! |
There were a lot of interesting mushrooms along the trail. |
There are a lot of these moss clumps on the trees |
But we have never seen one like this before! Kind of creepy looking, like a person is up there? |
To the left and around the corner is the way to Ucluelet |

Tofino's Tacofino Food Truck
Another bonus to camping at Crystal Cove Resort is a short walk to the Tacofino Truck located at 1184 Pacific Rim Hwy At the back of the Beaches/Live to Surf Parking Lot
Parked and going for Fish Burritos |
Tacofino Truck - Tofino We have been to their restaurant in Victoria Both well worth the visit! |

And Back To Victoria
After spending time in Tofino it was time to head back to
Victoria to spend Craig's Birthday with Jim & Cass!
We followed this logging truck with a load of cedar logs The large one had a hollow centre which you could see straight thru! |
