We dropped off the Unity for service and rented a car and drove down to Washington State to visit LaConner, Anacortes, Port Townsend and Poulsbo; a few of our favourite boating destinations in the Puget Sound area.
Our first stop was LaConner and were lucky to arrive while the Horseless Carriage Gathering. These vehicles from the 1890's to early 1900's were mostly steam powered! Amazingly their "horns" sound exactly like a train's steam whistle!
