15th March 2016: Desert Hot Springs, California
One of our goals with coming south was to visit some of our good friends who go south every spring. This was our fourth year trying to get south and finally we were successful.
Our first stop was in Palm Desert to visit good friends Jim & Karen whom we have known since 1974. They were staying at the Two Springs Resort in Desert Hot Springs.

We then went on to see Dave and Sonja,our Yorkton, Saskatchewan Friends, who have a beautiful place in Palm Desert just off of El Paseo Drive.

16th to 19th March 2016: Indio, California
From there we continued on to spend three nights with Craig's cousin Colleen and Dave who spend time at an Indio Resort. This was a great stop at the Desert Aire Resort. Surprisingly, Craig enjoyed his time here which is contrary to his belief that these types of resorts would not appeal to him.
We did lots with Colleen and Dave, checking out the Empire Polo Club, great meal & evening at the Augustine Casino and Jan's favourite was visiting the Oasis Date Gardens and having their famous date shake.
